Testimonials - What do our clients say about us:
Guy & Sophie - Bondi Junction
We engaged Stevie as our builder for our house extension and complete renovation in Bondi Junction. From the initial meeting we found Stevie to be extremely knowledgable, helpful and transparent in all communication relating to the build. Stevie highlighted the importance of open and honest communication throughout the course of the renovation and also stressed that he would keep us regularly updated with a running commentry on the progress including weekly emails including photographs of what had been accomplished that week. Stevie and his team made recommendations to improve the quality of the renovation throughout which was both useful and thoughtful and resulted in us having a far better end result.
We would not have ended up with the beautiful family home that Stevie and his team created had it not been for his first class craftmanship and exemplary work ethic. We are extremely thankful and grateful that we engaged Stevie and Old Firm Construction team to deliver our home renovation on time and on budget. We have and will continue to recommend Stevie to friends and colleagues who require any building services.
Tim - Paddington
Old Firm Construction conducted the rebuild of my Paddington terrace. Prior to commencing, I was told numerous stories of owner and builder difficulties, arguments and overages. I am pleased to share that I had quite the opposite experience. The architects detail in design and finish is exact. Old Firm Construction worked with the architect and suppliers to achieve the desired finish. I now live in a beautiful home. Stevie and his team were at all times a pleasure to work with. My neighbours and fellow street residents are still commenting on the polite, conscientous and tidy team of builders whom were on site.
Sarah and Jason - Queens Park
Stevie has managed a number of projects for us, including a large renovation, and we are always impressed with his professionalism, reliability and attention to detail. We know that we can rely on Stevie and his team to provide an exemplary level of service in a professional and courteous manner. Even when our last major project experienced the inevitable 'ups and downs', Stevie approached each issue with enthusiasm and again gave us that feeling that our happiness with the work and end product was his number one priority. Stevie is an example to other builders and tradesmen generally. He turns up on time, holds himself and his team to a high professional standard, and makes the client feel like the most important person on the project. We frequently sing the praises of Old Firm Construction and would have no hesitation in reccommending them to anyone considering renovations of any size.
Kate & Scott - Elizabeth Bay
Stevie Muir of Old Firm Construction was engaged to carry out an extensive renovation and almagamation of our apartments in Elizabeth Bay. Stevie was the project manager and builder for the duration of the renovation.
Stevie has a keen eye for detail and ability to clearly advise on issues when they arose and was of great assistance to us during this build as we did not engage an architect for the project. The patience and professionalism demonstrated in an advisory capacity was outstanding, and his ability to execute on what we wanted was perfect.
During the course of the renovation, Stevie asserted a remarkable degree of control and positve influence over his team and the sub contractors, from managing appropriate behaviour and conduct on site to the management of the site itself such as common areas of the building were left clean, cleared and vacuumed at the end of each day. Many positive comments were received from both tenants within the building and from neighbouring buildings about the team's professionalism. In my career, I have facilitated the build and fit out of may retail stores, and the degree of knowledge, passion and determination to get the job done and done first time is a testament to Stevie's can-do attitude and is the key to Old Firm's success and good reputation.
Kim & Greg - Bronte
We inherited a semi-detached Federation cottage in Bronte which was in an extreme state of dilapidation. We decided to undertake the mammoth task of completely restoring and modernising the home in order to sell it. We were fortuntate enough to engage Stevie Muir of Old Firm Construction as the builder on the project.
During the renovation, Stevie became our overall Project Manager as well as hands on builder and advisor. Stevie used his leadership, excellent communication and time managment skills to coordinate and supervise all workers and sub-contractors on site - carpenters, plumbers, electricians, painters, floor sanders, tilers, glaziers, kitchen suppliers, joiners and renderers. Stevie also handled tricky negotiations with neighbours and council with a good mannered ease and interpersonal skills resulting in excellent outcomes.
Stevie's goal orientated approach was to create a product of the highest quality and to insist upon this from all concerned. At the same time using his initiative and informed professional advice to save us time and money. During the (very successful!) sales process the project received much praise regarding the quality of the renovations and attention to detail. We feel that Stevie deserves most of the praise for his passion for excellence and ability to inspire others to put that passion into practice.
